4 Gon'e' Conclusion -- A Nightmare Puzzle Cache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

mrboo99: I am so sad to archive this. I knew one day that I would have to because ground zero was a guard rail blocking what would be a future entrance to a street. I chose this location since it allowed someone in a wheelchair to retrieve the cache without having to leave their wheelchair.

I have kept an eye on the location for a while knowing that one day, they would develop the land for which the future street would be needed. A week ago, I could see construction equipment preparing the land for development. And, yesterday, sure enough, I found they had removed the guard rail.

If you have already solved this puzzle, but just haven't got around to logging it, drop me an email telling me how you solved it and when.

Mr. Boo 99

Geocache Description:

The above co-ords are bogus, or not. Who knows. This is a nightmare cache after all.

Quick Introduction

Ninja R is a local geocacher in the north Texas geocaching community with impressive skills. He is also one the nicest guys you will ever meet. I was struck the first time I met him about how much he loves to geocache. He takes it seriously and has fun with it too. What is most surprising is that he works with maps professionally in his job. You would think he would want a break from dealing with co-ordinates and gps related stuff after a hard days work. So, when he talks about geocaching, whether it be about equipment or how to use equipment, one has to listen because what they hear is gold or the best dang geocaching story you have ever heard.

Ninja R recently captained the North Texas Geocaching Team to first place at the 2013 Texas Mega Event.

One night, well before the Mega Event, I had a nightmare and Ninja R was in it. This was not the Ninja R that is the one we all know. This was a surreal NinjaR. One out of the twilight zone! His doppelganger.

In my dream, I was at a Mega Texas Challenge Event Boot Camp training session with NinjaR looking like a Marine drill instructor. I saw him scowl and grunt out “Geocachers don't need no stinking GPSes to find a cache, mister. All they need is a Delorome topo map, proven co-ordinates, lots of them, a ruler and a compass.”

“But,” I protested in vain in my dream standing at attention, “I use the map on my phone app all the time to find caches. I don't know how to do it, sir, that would be a needle in a haystack approach. Don't cut me from the team!”

NinjaR shot back to me “drop and take twenty and show me where you would be nearest to the cache you wimpy civilian recruit! Just be glad this isn't the military where it would be whole different style!” He then shoved a paper in front of me with a list of twenty gps co-ords, a map, a ruler, and a compass.

Fitfully, I started to work plotting out where this cache I needed to find for NinjaR was so I could prove that I was a real geocacher and be part of the awesome North Texas Geocaching Squad, ARRRGGGHHHH. I found myself vainly saying to NinjaR in a half-hearted stammer, “I'am a geocacher sir, really I am! I really, really am, sir. It is all I got! I got notin else and no where else to go.”

NinjaR just fixed his gaze on me and said “Boy, you will be coming real close to doing a perp walk to get this cache. You man enough to do what it takes, boy! Now get those dang co-ords to line up and see which ones collide with the cache's true numbers!”

I asked him, “How will I know which ones out of the twenty?” It felt like I was swallowing the words as I spoke them aloud.

He glared at me and I shook as his voice deeply rumbled ...

“Geosense, Geosense, Geosense!”

Not daring to look back at his fierce gaze, I worked on the co-ords as the rain pelted me, my map, my ruler, and my compass. I held back tears and started transferring the co-ords onto the map feeling utterly hopeless and incompetent to the task before me when ....

I awoke with a start feeling drained of all life and any hint of reason. Those co-ords were still etched into my brain. I couldn't get the dream out of my mind. Was it for real? Was it fake? Can you survive the nightmare! Are you tougher than a NinjaR geocacher?

Here are the co-ords. Yes, some of them should have lots of meaning to experienced geocachers!
