It's been a long time coming but we have eventually found time to place our own cache. The location for this one is very close to the original Cache With a View which has been archived for some time now. The original cache is also our very first find and hence our main reason for placing it here. Since then of course we have enjoyed every single find both in the UK and Canada.
The view is still here and from one side of the track one can see to the Losely Park area across the valley and on the other side there is a view of Guildford Cathedral and the new University sports complex across the A3. We have decided to keep the terrain rating as per the original cache but have reduced the difficulty slightly.
There is parking both in Friar's Gate (4 hour) and The Mount. Care is needed crossing the road from Friar's Gate as this acts as one of the main feeds into Guildford and can be busy. There is a steep hill to climb to get to GZ and depending where you park this could be either a long walk or a short walk. However wherever you park it is worth while having a look around you to enjoy an all round view of Guildford town and surrounding area.
