A história da Estação Ferroviária confunde-se com a própria história da cidade, já que foi palco do transporte de cargas e pessoas entre 1876 e a década de 1970.
A estação foi reformada e transformada em Centro Cultural onde hoje funciona a Secretaria Municipal de Cultura.
