The cache is placed close to the foot of Tweede Waterval in the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve. To reach it you'll have to confront some class 3 terrain (requires route finding skills, scrambling using hands, heavy exposures & risk of serious injury), but it will reward you with breathtakingly beautiful scenery and a huge sense of accomplishment!
Your GPS will be useless for this cache. Please follow the directions in the supplied map & have a look at the "pictorial" to get an idea of what you can expect. Once at the Rock-Hopper pool at the foot of Tweede Waterval scramble up to the obvious, large crevice just above "Skull Rock" on the southern side of the pool. You'll find the cache on the extreme right-hand side of this crevice.

Notes:
1. The route is IMPASSIBLE AFTER RAIN & even w/o rain the upper gorge has a tricky scramble, which is dangerous when Tweede Waterval is flowing, i.e. when river is fairly full.
2. Do NOT attempt to hike up the steep valley above the cache to join the Swartboskloof/Kurktrekkersnek trail - it will take much longer than going back through the gorge and it is a very dangerous route!
Happy caching!
