Geocache Description:

In honor of our visit to Hawaii and the fact that I'm approaching 1000 finds, and BonusTown is approaching 100, we'd like to share the celebration with friends. So let's have an event at the Kane'ohe Bay Sandbar!

Thank you all for attending - it was indeed a lovely day!





The EarthCache GC2MDQ7 is nearby and anyone who hasn't logged it yet will have the chance to do so.

Let's plan to meet at the Heeia Pier to set sail (I'll plan to rent a kayak) and head out to the sandbar.

Event time (at Pier):  10:00am
Event time (at Sand Bar):  11ish - or whenever we get there until whenever we decide to leave

It's about a 3 mile round trip kayak adventure. We'll spend some time on the sand bar to find the EarthCache and celebrate. I'll plan to bring my snorkel gear to see what I can see in the area. Bring whatever you'd like, food or gear wise to enjoy the sand bar.

If winds are bad and/or there is a small craft advisory, we'll meet at Heeia State Park as a backup location for the event at 10:15am. Please check at the Pier first. Coordinates for this location: N 21° 26.510 W 157° 48.500
