Geocache Description:

The Grafton Loop series consists of 27 caches of various sizes, on an approximate walk of 5 miles. Along the series, you will take in the surrounding countryside and various places of interest, including Grafton Church (the suggested parking area), Hill Court and Grafton Woods, a butterfly nature reserve.

I will add additional comments in each cache description, if appropriate, dependent on whether additional directions need to be given or if an additional guidance is required. Once found, please replace each cache as found.

The series can be done in isolation, or if you haven’t already done the Himbleton Hide series, do the two linked loops together, accumulating in a 9 mile walk, with a total of atleast 45 caches.

Grafton Church of St John the Baptist has changed quite a lot over at least eight hundreds years. The church is first mentioned in a 13th century document but there was probably a church there long before that. In 1086, the Domesday Book,  mentions there was a priest at Grafton Flyford.
