Another Meet at The Old Forge (Inverie, Knoydart) Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: Time to archive this one. A small, but great fun meet - huge thanks to Uilebheist and cjdl for joining me at this remote spot - in great weather. A full set of photos will appear with my Attended log when I pull my finger out, so pop this event on your watchlist if you'd like to catch those [:)]
Cheers again and I may be back in 2015. By sea kayak!

Geocache Description:

Pub events; a mainstay of caching meets. Where better to compliment my Britain's Seventh Most Remote Event (InPinn, Skye) event than one in mainland UK's most remote pub, The Old Forge, Inverie, Knoydart? I enjoyed my 2011 visit here so much, I wanted to come back.

UPDATED! Saturday 15th June 2013, from 4pm (food served 6.30pm til 9.30pm)

Getting there: The 'Knoydart Seabridge' runs every day, all summer, but it's also possible to walk to Inverie across the mountains of Knoydart - my planned route - or take Bruce Watt's Knoydart Ferry. The walking option takes two days and requires a stop mid way though...

Why the high Terrain rating? Because it's either a *very* long walk here, or you need to use a boat; specialist equipment!

Bonus: I hope to place a cache in the area with the help of the landlord and lady while I'm visiting.

There's a thread about my June 2013 events on the Groundspeak forum and on the GAGB forum.

Companion Events in June 2013:
Thu 13th- Meet at the End (Mainland Britain's most Westerly)
Fri 14th- Now^here* (A'Chuil Bothy north of Glenfinnan)
Sat 15th- Another Meet at the Old Forge (Inverie, Knoydart) - Here!
Wed 19th- Britain's Seventh Most Remote Event (InPinn, Skye)
Thu 20th- "You take the High Road..." (Beallach na Ba, Applecross)

*Middle of nowhere.

[Look for mainland Britain's most remote pub; it's there. Again!]
