**********************St. Luke's Church - History:****************

St. Luke's Church situated in Warren TWP., in Bradford County, Pa., which had been constructed in 1867.

Mass was celebrated every Sunday at 9:00 am and 11:00 am, alternating between St. Luke's and the new (1888) Church in Little Meadows.

During the winters, however, owing to the severity of the weather and impassability of the roads, Mass was said every two weeks only, at 11:00 at St. Luke's Church in Warren TWP. The center of parish life was already moving toward the parish church at Little Meadows.

In 1945, after World War II, St. Luke's Church in Warren TWP. was closed.
*******************************************************
In 1952? The Church building was dismantled, and the church building was moved to Wyalusing,by a group of parishioners and local contractors and it was rebuilt at the Route 6 site. The first Mass celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption,Wyalusing, was the midnight Mass on Christmas Eve 1953.

If you are from Wyalusing, and can take a picture of this Church or any history please bring it to the event ,or post it on this cache page. thank you!
