Church Micro 3478...Haynes Church End
This cache has been placed to bring you to St Mary's Church, Haynes Church End.
The cache is a thin plastic tube. It is a similar length to a 35mm film pot, but with a much smaller diameter. It only contains a log - you are a geocacher, you should have a writing implement! You might also need tweezers or similar.
Please note that the final cache is located outside the churchyard and is NOT accessible from inside the churchyard.
The church of St. Mary rebuilt, with the exception of the tower, and enlarged in 1850 , is an elegant structure in the Early Decorated style. My favourite part of the church is the embattled tower. I also like the yews on guard, wither side of the main path.
Please take time to explore the peace and tranquility, but please be respectful in the church and its grounds.
To find the location of the final cache, you will first need to read the three inscriptions (2 of three words and one of two words) on the OUTSIDE of the lychgate. How many P's are there? This is A. How many S's are there? This is B. Then visit the northern doorway. Each large hinge bar is fixed by C screws or rivets.
The final cache can be found at N 52° 03.(A+B-1)(A+B-1)(C-4) W 000° 25.(C-4)(B-3)(A-1)
