Hólmavík village started to built up around 1880. Before the only people living there were the hidden people which are people just like us, but from another dimension. Most of us do not see them regulary neither theire residences which looks like rocks and hills from our view. There are some tales in Hólmavík about how the humans and the hidden people have had cooperation in many fields. Many of the tales takes part inside of the visible houses around you by the street Höfðagata. This cach is hidden among the hidden people. Please walk with respect for your own safety. Most likely you do not realize where you are stepping or what is underneath your feets. It is always good to ask aloud before you start to walk on the areas of the hidden people with the words: Can I enter you site?
