During the recent "Juneau Constituent Meet and Greet" in February, it was suggested that some of the areas near caches in the down-town area could use some sprucing up. Gladly accepting the challenge of organizing a CITO event, this seemed a perfect way to benefit the caching community as well the city of Juneau on an "Earth Day" weekend!
Expect to meet and sign the event log at the given coordinates where there is plenty of parking. You can either volunteer to clean up certain cache areas or be assigned one or two in the downtown area. If done correctly, this event will involve alot of walking...and picking up trash! Bags, gloves, refreshments and caching goodies/prizes will be available to all attendees. The beauty of having this event on Saturday is that the brewery tasting room is open until 5:30!
