=Andy_R: Time for this one to go (a month later than planned).
For those interested, the theme was Tittle, the small dot above an 'i' or a 'j'.
The full solution
- The idea was to use the 'i's and 'j's, with and without tittles, to create a binary number. Decoding one word at a time, and ignoring any words without an 'i' or 'j'.
- The hint "Mr T" should be read as "missed a t", so title missing a "t" gives tittle.
- The second part of the hint "yes or no" was intended to point to a binary decode. So each word containing the letter 'i' or 'j' could be decoded into a binary number, with a normal 'i' or 'j' giving 1 and an i without its tittle giving 0.
- "The cache may be found at the spot above", "A dash of inspiration" and "joining the dots" were all allusions to the tittle.
-
Finally, the first words of each sentence Normally and When were supposed to hint at N(orth) and W(est) from their initial letters.
