The Space Coast is home to many wonderful caches of all different types. It is also home to Florida's most favorite traditional cache (GC15RQB) less than two miles away from this event. There are tons of great caches as well as great cachers that call the Space Coast home. We would like to welcome all our friends visiting Florida for Geowoodstock to end the weekend of festivities with a visit to the Space Coast. We are only about 1 1/2 hours from the event site. A short drive East and you can visit places like Kennedy Space Center, World famous Ron Jon Surf Shop, Cocoa Beach, Canaveral National Seashore oh and don't forget the one and only Space Coast Geocaching Store...a one of a kind experience.
We would like for anyone that can make it over to join us at 4:00 under the pavilion at Kelly Park West. There should be plenty of parking onsite. There are 4-5 caches in the park as well as many others nearby. If you are interested in a busy day you can grab the CITO event at Circle B Sunday morning, then head over for this traditional event, a nearby whereigo, webcam, mystery, traditional, multi and even an earthcache all within 5 miles of this event. There is also a letterbox on your way into town and who knows maybe another will be in place by the time this event rolls around.
This event will last about an hour or however long folks want to hang around. We just want to give you another reason to head to the Space Coast before leaving Florida and heading back home. This will be an informal meet and greet swapping stories of the weekend and trading travel bugs and coins. So pack up and head to the coast. Bring the family to the beach and see what the Space Coast has to offer.
