Ventspils Jūrmalas parkā pie pilsētas pludmales pabeigta viena no pasaulē lielākajiem zināmajiem enkuriem uzstādīšana, izveidojot parka ieejas vārtu motīvu.
No Nīderlandes atvestais enkurs ir 23 tonnas smags, sešus metrus augsts un 4,5 metrus plats. Viens enkura ķēdes posms sver aptuveni 100 kilogramu, ķēdes garums - 25 metri. Milzīgā eksponāta uzstādīšana prasīja trīs dienas. Enkuru vārti atrodas pie galvenās parka ieejas no Loču ielas puses.
Šogad enkuru parks papildināts ar vēl 13 mazākiem enkuriem, kas izcelti no Ventspils ostas jūras ceļa. Pie enkuriem pieliktas informatīvas plāksnītes par enkuru svaru un tipu, un tie balstīti ar lieliem akmeņiem.
Pavisam Jūrmalas parkā jau ir apskatāmi 24 enkuri, un nākamajos gados ekspozīciju parkā plānots papildināt ar jauniem eksponātiem, lai izveidotu lielāko enkuru ekspozīciju Baltijas valstīs.
Jūrmalas parks ir iecienīta atpūtas vieta pilsētā. Cauri parkam brīvdabas muzeja apmeklētājus vizina mazbānītis. Parkā ir uzcelta neliela bērnu rotaļu pilsētiņa un uzstādīti dažādi no koka izgatavoti vides objekti. Katru gadu parku paplašina un pilnveido.
