Geocache Description:

Near Genadendal in the Western Cape.

This beautiful old bridge, a National Monument, straddles the lovely Sonderend River and was built by Rev. Georg Schmidt in the 1700's.

Georg Schmidt founded the first Mission Station in South Africa in the nearby village of Genadendal.

This bridge was in daily use until the mid 1980's, when it was replaced by the new bridge, which you can see close by.

Please bring along a pen to log this cache and rehide exactly as found.

Extreme stealth is required around here, as muggles love this beautiful area!
