Geocache Description:

Sometimes a cache will go unfound for some time. Perhaps it's a month or 2 or perhaps it longer, possibly over a year.
I love visiting these caches. It usually means that they're either in remote locations, interesting puzzles or ingenious hides. The aim of this challenge is to encourage more people to do the same and to find caches that don't get found very often, or have been neglected at some point in their past

This cache is hidden at the given coordinates.
However, to log it you must fulfill one of the following:-

  1. have logged at least one cache where you are first person to log it after at least 2 full years without a find or

  2. have logged at least two caches where you are the first person to log them after at least 1.5 years (548 days) or

  3. have logged at least three caches where you are the first person to log them after at least 1 full year or

  4. have logged 30 caches that have have gone unfound for at least a full year in their past.

  5. have found one cache for category (2) plus 15 caches for category (4)

  6. have found two caches for category (3) plus 10 caches for category (4)

  7. have found one cache for category (3) plus 20 caches for category (4)

You can use archived caches as long as you found it before it was archived.
If the gap in finds is because the cache was disabled, unavailable or reported as missing to be subsequently replaced by the user then that cache is not eligible. If a cache was replaced by you and logged as a find then it is also ineligible. A cache is eligible if you found it before you became the owner.
If you were with a group when you found the cache then you can use it even if you weren't the first in the group to log it

At the time of setting there are over 25 caches within 100 miles that haven't been found for over 24 months. There are over 600 that haven't been found in over 12 months
There are many caches that have a gap in finds of over 12 months, you just have to find them.
To assist you in finding out if you qualify for this cache or to find caches which will enable to qualify I'd suggest using a cache database such as GSAK. There are several ways to do this but the easiest is to use a macro called 'LonelyGaps'.

The cache itself is hidden just off footpath but accessing the location is tricky. You will have to follow a stream and at one point you may have to scramble up the side of a small waterfall. If you're not happy with this terrain then do not attempt this cache.
The stream is in a ravine that has trees above it so gps reception is not the greatest. I took several readings over 30 minutes with a couple of devices and I've given the average.

Please identify your qualifying caches and when you found them. This could be in an email, as a list at the end of your log, a screenshot from GSAK (or other DB).

To give people a chance with this cache I'll try to limit my collecting of unloved caches :-(

Please note: finding a cache on the anniversary of when it was last found counts as 1 year
