GEOCACHING

Are you new to geocaching? Are you experienced? No matter what you know or do not know about geocaching, this event should have something that you can learn and use to find or hide during geocaching outings.
In partnership with Cabela's, we are hosting an Introduction to Geocaching seminar in the meeting room of the new store, April 27 and 28th, 2013, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm (stay as long as you like).
A member of our geocaching community, Lord Elwood, will lead the presentation covering the following topics:
- Overview of GPS technology and geocaching
- Understanding the basics of geocaching
- Finding a cache
- Hiding a geocache
- Using the Geocaching.com website
- Understanding the basic GPS usage
Once the presentation has concluded, experienced geocachers will be on hand to answer any questions and provide some one-on-one instruction.
Geocaching hide containers will also be on display.
And, we will provide attendees with hands-on demonstrations where YOU will have the opportunity to find an actual geocache placed near Cabela's entrance using a GPS device!
This is a family-friendly event, all are welcome.
