Geocache Description:

Tiernan Boat Ramp-

Throw out a line for the catch of the day or scan the shoreline snags for osprey and you won’t be disappointed along the Siuslaw.  Tiernan Boat Ramp is located along the Siuslaw Water Trail.

Experienced paddlers can make a day paddle from Port of Siuslaw to the town of Mapleton.  Boat ramps like Tiernan give experienced boaters and novices the chance to explore the estuary from the water.  The area is maintained by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife - who post current conditions regularly.

The Eugene, Cascades & Coast GeoTour stretches from Florence on the Oregon Coast to the scenic McKenzie River and Cascade Mountains. Explore stunning waterfalls, lush trails, epic dunes, lava fields, serene lakes, breathtaking views and iconic sites. Discover your new favorite spot in Oregon!
