Geocache Description:

Just doing my part to help reach the 2 million geocache milestone. The final cache is close to Airway Beacon 26 but still far enough away from the airfield that it shouldn't arouse concern or suspicion from those people conducting business at the field.

Please note that the D/T rating shown above is for the final cache, NOT for the caches required to complete this Challenge! However, if there were such a thing as an "effort" rating for completing this Challenge, I'd give this one a 4.

Before logging this cache, your task will be to find and log the CLOSEST ACTIVE CACHE to each of the 19 following locations, all of which are former beacon or airfield sites associated with the Transcontinental Airmail Route through northern Nevada. Prior to logging this challenge as “Found”, please post a note with a list documenting your finds for each of the above caches. This note should include the cache name, GC# and the date on which you found each required cache. Bonus points for including links to your log entries.

Due to the remoteness and difficulty involved in reaching some of the required caches, finds made prior to the publication of this challenge WILL be allowed. Also, owners of caches required to complete this challenge WILL be allowed to log the final, provided they meet all other listed requirements.

Any “Found” logs that do not meet all cache requirements will be deleted without warning!

Please bear in mind that we are constantly searching for other old beacon sites. The list of required caches will probably grow as time goes on, so the longer you wait to complete this challenge, the more caches you will have to find.
