Short series on a stroll along a stretch of the River Liffey.
This stretch of the Liffey is used by a lot of clubs for canoeing – it’s very common to see a crew training along here, often accompanied by the coach cycling along the path.
Watch out for herons and other wildlife.
This little stroll is included on the “Series of Walks – ‘Down by the Liffey Side’ – by the Liffey Valley Park Alliance” – it forms part of Walk # 3 - I’ve included both sides of the leaflet on it in the pictures at the end of the page if you would like further information. Parking is available for 4 or 5 cars at the Chapelizod end or the bigger car park in the War Memorial Gardens can be used (this closes at 16.00 hrs)
There are no opening or closing times posted for this gate. Although the gate from the path into the War Memorial gardens closes at park closing times.
