Geocache Description:

This is yet another cache placed by me around Hagg Lake.

The cache is located near Tanner Creek that feeds Henry Hagg Lake in Scoggins Valley Park. There is a $5 entrance fee if you want to leave your vehicle while in the park. The entrance fee is generally in effect from March-October but there are several caches in the area so the $5 is totally worth it if you're out for a day of caching and outdoor fun.

===============================

I love trackables.

I don't like paying for dogtags and pathtags and all the other types of tags that make an item trackable.

So I introduce to you, for those of you who haven't heard of it before...

GEOKRETY!

Most likely you've never heard of this type of trackable.  That's probably because there's currently only about 400-500 in the US but tens of thousands of these things in Europe.  So this is my humble attempt to start a new thing here in the new world ;)

Krety means "mole" in some European language.  I think it's Polish... which is where the geokrety.org website is.

I've made a couple of Geokrety and placed them in this cache.  This cache will be the closest cache to my house and so will be easy for me to seed with Geokrety as I find something that I would like to share and move on.

I'm seeding this cache with two Geokrety, a Cub Scout handbook for Tiger Cubs (the youngest level for the group), and an OHSU first aid/outdoor survival guide.  I'm also dropping a couple of traditional trackables :)

Also at the time of cache placement the contents include:

Ozark Trail pocket knife
Jumbo water repellant utility bag
4 packs of moist wipes
3 disposable hand warmers
2 42pc first aid kits
Logbook
Pen

Please remember to trade up or trade equal.  I request that you don't leave Happy Meal toys or your garbage in the cache.  If you can't afford to put something worthwhile in the cache please don't feel like you need to leave something just for the sake of swapping items.  Take an item if you feel you can't live without it but please don't leave your trash in the cache for others to pore through.  Ideally you would be able to trade items of similar worth or just enjoy looking at the items that are in the cache but I know that's not how it generally goes as evidenced by all the empty or near empty caches I tend to run across.

FTF is welcome to choose a freebie item of their choice :)

Enjoy the cache and be safe :)
