Geocache Description:

Siuslaw National Forest Day Use Fee Required

Sutton Campground

Tucked away in an old spruce forest just a short walk from the beach, Sutton Campground offers camping, hiking, bird watching, and picnicking opportunities.  Many trails start here, leading to the beach and other glens and forests.

You are also a stone’s throw away from Darlingtonia State Natural Site, an 18-acre botanical garden dedicated to the rare carnivorous flower, nicknamed the “cobra lily.”  This park is not to be missed.  Open all year, the accessible boardwalk trail leads into the midst of the red and green pitcher-style stalks and blooms.

The Eugene, Cascades & Coast GeoTour stretches from Florence on the Oregon Coast to the scenic McKenzie River and Cascade Mountains. Explore stunning waterfalls, lush trails, epic dunes, lava fields, serene lakes, breathtaking views and iconic sites. Discover your new favorite spot in Oregon!
