The rooms of the Best Western Pier Point Inn offer some of the best views of the Siuslaw River Bridge and Old Town Florence. Tell them you are on the GeoTour to get 15% off your room. The Siuslaw River Bridge, built in 1936 during the depression, replaced a ferry, speeding up travel along the coast. The bridge was posted to the National Registry of Historic Places in 2005. For a unique view of the bridge visit the Siuslaw Interpretive Center on the northeast side of the bridge. The Center, scheduled to open March 2013, is a picturesque wayside for travelers and locals.
