Yeehah! Whether you enjoy ATVs, sandboards, dune buggies, or not so quite long walks on the beach, the Dunes OHV is your place to play. The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is the largest expanse of coastal sand dunes in the United States, covering 40 miles of the coast. It’s easy to forget you are in Oregon and not in the desert. Take a dune buggy tour to see the fresh water lakes and clusters of trees hidden in the sandy hills. Some dunes are as high as 500 feet! Extreme sports not your thing? Hike, paddle or stroll through this wildlife rich wilderness.



Fun fact - These dunes were the inspiration behind the famed novel, Dune.
