O Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência (MUNAC) é um espaço de educação, ciência e cultura, no coração da cidade de Lisboa. O Museu tem origem no Real Museu de História Natural e Jardim Botânico, criados no século XVIII, embora este espaço já albergasse instituições de ensino desde o século XVII.
O MUNAC inclui lugares repletos de história, espaços de grande interesse histórico-científico e o Jardim Botânico, que é monumento nacional. Destacam-se, entre outros, o Laboratório quimico e seu emblemático anfiteatro, o Observatório Astronómico e o antigo Picadeiro do Colégio dos Nobres.
Os seus acervos incluem importantes coleções de história natural, de instrumentos e outros objetos científicos. Para além de duas dezenas de exposições, os visitantes encontrarão um largo conjunto de atividades, visando estimular a curiosidade e a compreensão sobre a Natureza e a Ciência e levando a Universidade de Lisboa à sua cidade e à sociedade.
The National Museum of Natural history and Science (MUNAC) is an area of education, science and culture, in the heart of the city of Lisbon. The Museum has its origins in the Royal Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden, created in the eighteenth century, although this space now attempting educational institutions since the 17th century. The MUNAC includes places full of history, spaces of great historical interest-science and the Botanical Garden, which is a national monument. Include, among others, the Chemical Laboratory and its emblematic amphitheatre, the Astronomical Observatory and the former Manege of the College of Nobles. Its holdings include important natural history collections, scientific instruments and other objects. Das National Museum of Natural History und Science (MUNAC) ist ein Bereich von Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur, im Herzen der Stadt Lissabon. Das Museum hat seinen Ursprung in den Royal Natural History Museum und Botanischer Garten, angelegt im achtzehnten Jahrhundert, obwohl dies space jetzt versuchen Bildungseinrichtungen seit dem 17.
