This cache is located very near an isolated little village forgotten by time. While here, be sure to explore the surrounding countryside, castle, and the mysterious Chiddingstone.
Sadly, the artificial lake on the castle grounds was created through destroying ten dwellings on the original High Street of the village.
The remaining portion of the village is owned by the National Trust and the surrounding area has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). This village has inspired artists and provided the backdrop for several movies ('Room with a View', 'The Wicked Lady' and 'Elizabeth R'). The Castle Inn (http://www.castleinn.co.uk/) serves up cold, thirst quenching quaffs and other hearty fare for the weary cacher. Oh, and don't forget to bring along plenty of film!
Be careful of the barbed wire in the immediate location of the cache.
