Mark your caching calendars and please join us for the Spring 2013 Kentucky Backwoods County Trail Mix. There will be plenty of fun for those of you cachers who like to hike in the wilderness and enjoy the company of other cachers who like to do the same. There will be 120 new caches placed for the counties in Kentucky in both the Kleber WMA and Dr. Rich WMA (with several parking areas located surrounding the wildlife areas). Cachers who find and log all 120 county caches will receive the Kentucky Backwoods County Challenge pathtag.

There will be a drawing for some giveaways, as well as a few breakfast items. We will have water, but please bring your own beverages, as well as lunch if you are planning on spending the day on the trails. There should be some homemade muffins and fruit available.

Event Date: Saturday, March 30, 2013

9:00 a.m. – Meet in parking lot of shooting range (coords listed for the event are the parking coords) to sign event log and meet fellow trail mix cachers.

9:10 a.m. - Free giveaway drawings

9:25 a.m. Group photo

9:30 a.m. – Geocachers set out caching on the trails

Please see attached map listed as Related Page. Most caches aren’t far off the trails and there aren’t many steep hills out here.

Be sure to wear bright orange clothing for visibility as this is an active hunting area, but no hunting should be happening during this timeframe.
