Mease Meadow Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

chramm_and_fam: The first cache I placed in the village and still a favourite place to visit. I no longer live close enough to overlook it and children are monopolising my time so I will let this go for now.

Geocache Description:

Mease Meadow is a delightful bit of natural land on the edge of Hilton. It has been left as a flood plain!

Since moving to live close by in December 2012 I have seen 27 different species of bird on this meadow! There are often two swans on this stretch of the brook, and rookery close by, which you may be able to hear. This morning there was a little egret and a grey heron too!
It has also flooded twice so I have made this cache secure. There is usually a dog-waker or two around the path, so please be stealthy. Stop and look around and enjoy the area while you wait for a gap in the traffic. Then rehide well.
