Geocache Description:

CITO starts at 11am and is scheduled to go until 2pm. Meet at the Holy Well (see coords of cache which is next to it). I placed a cache here in October and subsequently found out that there is a lot of old rubbish in the grykes. I want to invite you to make a difference in this otherwise lovely spot.

Around the holy well in this beautiful limestone clearing, there is a quite a bit of rubbish that has been "binned" into the grykes. It is not immediately visible but once you start looking down you can easily spot it.

We have already removed a bit from the site, but there is lots more to be done. I have organised some required cleaning-up material from Clare County Council so that we will be well fitted out for the task at hand. April is coincidentally the month of Irish National Spring Clean.

There will be some cake that I (and maybe you?) will bring, but please bring also your own lunch, tea, coffee etc.
Also, you should bring gloves as some of the rubbish can be sharp-edged.

Parking is along the road down from the trailhead. Be careful not to block the road. There should be enough space just past the trailhead coords on the left hand side of the road. When you come to the start of the lane (trailhead coords), you will see a gate further down. Go towards it, and just before it, turn left down a little path through the shrubs. Follow the coords to the cache. Be careful, the limestone pavement is slippy when wet and can be wobbly.

This event is not necessarily suited for smaller children as there can be broken glass etc. in the grykes.

It goes without saying that there is a cache hidden here. So you get three things for the price of one: you'll find a cache, you'll get cake AND you'll get the satisfaction of having done really well for the environment! Oh, and as SaaX pointed out: you also get a souvenir for your profile!
