Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Oak Creek Challenge Trail

Cache is at posted coordinates but you must meet the requirements of this challenge in order to log a find on it.

  • OCCT - It’s as easy as A, B, C Challenge

The Rules:

To complete this challenge you must meet all of the following conditions:

  • The Challenge – You must successfully find and log a cache on 26 consecutive days, one for each letter of the alphabet. Oh wait, the challenge is that they have to be in alphabetical order. And all in the same state. Only the first character of the cache name is used, as follows:

Cache – Across from the Bench can be used for “A”
Cache -- The Nebraska Cemetery Challenge can be used for “T”

The following examples cannot be counted:
Cache -- "What's My Line" is not a valid cache
Cache-- {No Dumping Violet Flowers Here} - RF is not a valid cache
Cache—366 does not count towards the “T” as we are doing the alphabet and this is numeric

Note: You may NOT use caches you own.

In your log entry add your alphabetized list to your log. To document your successful completion of the challenge, you will need to create an alphabetized list of the 26 caches using the following format:

    A – Cache Name – GC _______ Date Found
    All the way to
Z – Cache Name – GC_______ Date Found

    The Rules --

This is meant to be a challenge. So when you are out for a cache run, remember to grab your letter for the day. I’m not making a whole lot of rules, but, there are a few:

    1. You may not count any cache that you have hidden or have ever owned.

    2. You must complete this in 26 days and all cache finds must be in the same state. You can do all 26 days in Nebraska or all 26 days in whatever state you choose, just as long as they are all in the same state and on 26 consecutive days and in alphabetical order

    3. All cache types qualify for a find.

    Additional Information:

    • Any posted "Found It" logs that do not meet the requirements of this challenge will be deleted.
    • If you have not met the requirements of this challenge, you may visit this cache, sign the log book and post a note on this page. When you have met the requirements of this challenge, you may then post a "Found It" log without having to revisit the cache.

    More information about the trail:

The Oak Creek trail was on old railroad line that was taken out of service in 1993 and turned into the trail in 1996. To find out more information click here. We hope that you enjoy the trail as much as we do.
