The cache IS NOT at the listed coordinates. This is the first in a series of caches that I was inspired to create by Red_Family's series of Homburg caches called Grosse Namen and Ich Trage Einen Grossen Namen. There will be a BONUS CACHE so please make a note of the bonus number in the logbook.
Each of the people in this series were born (MADE) in Germany. Later in life they immigrated to the USA and became citizens of America. Many of them had a great influence on the USA and the rest of the world. I hope that each person who completes this series learns a little bit more about how our two countries, German and The United States of America, are forever connected.
For each cache in this series you will be given a few hints that will help you identify the person. Good Luck!

To solve use the NUMBER value of the letters in the persons name. I.E. A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4,...Z=26.
A= 3rd letter of the last name + 3rd letter of the first name - 2.
B= 4th letter of the middle name - 12.
C= 1st letter of the first name - 3rd letter of the middle name.
D= 2nd letter of the last name - 5th letter of the last name.
E= 3rd letter of the last name + 3rd letter of the first name.
