AQUEDUC DU CUARD

Au début du XXe siècle un projet de tramway reliant Lons-le-Saunier à Saint-Julien-sur-Suran voit le jour, mais les travaux n'ont jamais été terminés. Le projet a débuté en 1901 pour un tracé définitif en 1912. Les travaux ont débuté en 1913 mais restèrent inachevés suite à l'abandon en 1926.

En ce lieu se trouve la source du Cuard, dont la cascade bien plus bas est aussi un lieu pour géocacheurs (BORNAY TOUR #4 La Cascade : http://coord.info/GC15HG1 .
Lors de la construction de la ligne du tram il a fallu réaliser un aqueduc pour permettre à l'eau du ruisseau Le Cuard de continuer à couler sans être obstrué par les remblais pour la voie.
Voir le waypoint additionnel pour trouver le chemin d'accès, il y a possibilité de se garer à proximité de ce waypoint.

In the early twentieth century a tramway project linking Lons-le-Saunier in Saint-Julien-sur-Suran born, but the work was never completed.
The project started in 1901 for a final route in 1912. Work began in 1913 but remained unfinished due to abandonment in 1926.

AQUEDUC DU CUARD

In this place is the source of Cuard, including much lower waterfall is also a place for geocachers (Bornay TOUR # 4 Cascade: http://coord.info/GC15HG1.
