Welcome to the 2nd Annual Hatfield McCoy GeoTrail celebration!!
Join us as we again visit the history of these families and their famous feud.
This year's event will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm
Important - posting a "will attend" does not register you for the event. Please visit the event store at www.hatfieldmccoygeotrail.com to register. The store will close at midnight on August 18, 2013 so be sure to make your selections early.
We will also be hosting the infamous "Stolen" Pig Roast again this year on Friday night, held this year at Blackberry Park near Ransom, Kentucky.
Last year's event brought in over 500 people from more than 20 different states. Groundspeak awarded us our first ever Mega event status in Eastern KY/Southwest WV, and our hosts, whbaisden and SpongeBob CachePants were named "GeoCacher of The Month" for August and September 2012 in recognition of thier efforts. This year's event promises to be even more exciting.
If you haven't yet experienced the Hatfield McCoy GeoTrail, this will be a perfect time to visit us and participate with other cachers from all over the US.
If you did visit us last year, new sites will be added to the trail, such as the grave of Ellison Hatfield, Goldies Hardware, Squirrel Hunting Sam McCoy's grave, and others.
In addition, everyone can enjoy The Hog Trial a new "Geo-Art" series of caches that will be released the weekend of the event!!!
As an extra special treat, Signal the official Groundspeak mascot, will be here throughout the weekend to welcome you!!
