Holland Flowers Festival
Het Holland Flowers Festival, voor 2002 bekend als de Westfriese Flora, is de grootste overdekte bolbloemententoonstelling ter wereld. Daarnaast is er ook een grote consumentenbeurs en een vakbeurs. De tentoonstelling vindt plaats in het vroege voorjaar en werd in 2008 voor de 75e keer gehouden.
Speciaal voor de Westfriese Flora werd in 1977 station Bovenkarspel Flora geopend. Na het verdwijnen van de Flora uit Bovenkarspel bleef dit station onder deze naam in gebruik.
In 1999 kwamen door een legionellabesmetting 32 mensen na een bezoek aan de tentoonstelling om het leven. In verband daarmee werd de tentoonstelling in 2000 niet gehouden. Vanaf 2002 wordt de tentoonstelling georganiseerd onder de naam Holland Flowers Festival.
In 2003 werd de tentoonstelling voor het laatst in Bovenkarspel gehouden, omdat de CNB-veilinghallen niet langer beschikbaar waren. In 2004 vond de tentoonstelling plaats in een tent op het proeftuincomplex te Zwaagdijk-Oost (gemeente Wervershoof). Vanaf 2005 werd de tentoonstelling gehouden in de voormalige veilinghallen van The Greenery, eveneens in Zwaagdijk-Oost. In 2011 verliet de tentoonstelling West-Friesland om te verhuizen naar het bedrijvenpark Agriport in Middenmeer (gemeente Wieringermeer). In 2012 wordt het Holland Flowers Festival weer in Bovenkarspel gehouden.
