St Peter’s Church dates back to 1162. The tower was partially destroyed in the civil war in 1643 and was rebuilt in timber and then replaced by the present tower in 1878.
Walk through the churchyard for stunning views across Caversham Court to the River Thames.
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
