Geocache Description:

Flag Counter

This cache is situated into the Belgian “ POLDERS “ , a fairly flat region very close to the Belgian coast . Caracteristic for these polders are the very heavy, but good ground for the farmers to work on . Going closer to the coast the ground becomes alot more sandy but still quit heavy to work on .

This is a nice region to do some biking , since there are alot of little country roads that take you all around . This cache is also very close to some very nice towns like Diksmuide , Nieuwpoort , Oostende ....a good idea to go there before or after the cache and have a beer on a sunny terrace.

Once you approach the cache, start looking for a tree which consists of a base with 3 big branches. On the tree you will find an arrow carved in it. Just at the base of that tree , start digging. You will need some gloves and a schuffle. Very fast you will find a white plastic bag with an old blue painted army ammunition box in it .

UPDATE : After more than 12 years in rain and wind the ammo box is rusted and broken so today on 08/08/2014 i replaced the ammo box with a plastic container and alot of new goodies + a brand new logbook. No need anymore to bring a schuffle and gloves, the cache is just under some stones , bricks and rocks. PLEASE AFTER LOGGING CLOSE THE PLASTIC CONTAINER , MAKE SURE THE CAP IS SCREWED WELL ON THE BOX AND BE CAREFULL WHEN PUTTING THE ROCKS ON THE CONTAINER NOT TO BRAKE THE CONTAINER. ENJOY THIS UPDATED OLD CACHE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
