Coeur d'Alene Veterans
Historic Tour
This is a walking tour which will take you through the established Historic Tour of Forest Cemetery. This cemetery was established as the Fort Sherman Cemetery; however, after the fort closed it was deeded over to the City of Coeur d'Alene. This cemetery is full of local history, as well as military history as it is the final resting place of veterans representing the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps. and U.S. Coast Guard.

To learn the final coordinates for this cache you will need to take a walk through Forest Cemetery and learn a little bit more about history it contains. The official Historic Tour consists of 21 points, all of which are marked with a post with a green sign.
Waypoints with the coordinates for all 21 points are listed; however, it is possible to walk to all of the markers without the use of a GPS. You will; however, likely want a GPS to locate the final. At 15 of the 21 points of the tour you will need to locate the marker for the veteran listed in the waypoints for that point and find the information requested.
