Geocache Description:

Medium walking gradient to reach cache location, along well used path that starts from underneath viaduct after going through small sloping park behind houses. Nearest parking is road-side in a fairly quiet housing estate. Once into woods path can easily become muddy so appropriate footwear is advised, need to cross stream to reach cache location.

Second (part 2!) in an ongoing series to bring out the hidden away or forgotten about nooks and crannies in and around Ivybridge.
Further along the track from #2a, cutting down to cross a wide stream that has recently been fortified with stone as a ford – there used to be a small brick/stone bridge slightly lower down but unfortunately this has been demolished (probably from a mixture of weakening from the extreme heavy rain in the area during July 2012 and the need for vehicles to cross).
You can’t help but notice this redwood giant on the other side, it may well have the largest single trunk circumference in these woods and truly stands out.
Cache is a small rectangular plastic box hidden close to the giant, containing a slip of paper for entries, a small number of trinkets and a TB.
NOTE: apologies if the co-ordinates are slightly out, please do suggest any corrections one the cache is found.
