Westhillbillies Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

The A-Team: After seeing Team.DnA's log, I stopped by to check out the area. There wasn't any work going on today, but I expect the route would be blocked on weekdays and the access issues will only get worse as West Shore Parkway construction ramps up in the near future.

When I got to the cache, yet again I found an extremely obvious pile of stuff covering the cache. Caches should be hidden in such a way that a passerby wouldn't think there was something there. Since people keep insisting on constructing a beacon to muggles that has now led to the stamp and ink pad going missing, I've decided to archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but it's where you can park if you want to use the directions below. If you don't want to use the directions, you can just use the coordinates provided in the additional waypoint and find your own way there.

If you start from the posted coordinates, you can follow the directions below to get to the cache/letterbox.
1. Head south and take the gravel path that starts out paralleling Langford Lake Road.
2. Walk until you see a beige building with a green roof and some native artwork on the end. Keep just to the right of this building, and keep heading toward the playground.
3. Follow the zig-zagging gravel path past the playground (unless you have kids that want to stop and play, in which case you can stop and carry on later).
4. As the trail starts down a gentle slope, you'll come across two more paths heading off to the right. The first will get you wet, so let's take the second one a few feet farther on instead.
5. Go over the nice covered wooden bridge and walk until you get to a road crossing (at this time, the road is still under construction).
6. Cross the road and you'll find a boulder in the middle of the trail.
7. From this boulder, walk 25 paces until you get to another boulder on the left.
8. Continue 40 paces farther until you reach a cluster of maple trees on the left.
9. Keep going for another 86 paces until you see two cedars and a maple together on the left.
10. Go 30 paces more until you arrive at twin cedars and a mossy-trunked maple.
11. Look behind the maple.

Please do not remove the stamp or ink pad from the cache. These are meant to stay in the cache and serve as the letterbox portion of this Letterbox Hybrid.
