A cache to mark what is (to me) a major achievement. Last year I increased my found total by exactly 1000 caches - if you can claim likewise then you can also claim this cache.
The cache is at the published co-ordinates but wait, before running out to get it, please ensure you qualify. To qualify for this cache you need to have logged at least 1000 finds (or attended) during any calendar year - January 1st to December 31st inclusive. Past years count so many of you already qualify and can come an pick it up straight away. If you don't yet qualify then I've helped you a bit by publishing this so early in the year.
Any type of cache is acceptable and 'Found it' or 'Attended' count but, in common with other challenge caches, you cannot re-find a cache you have already found or find a cache you own (except if you have adopted that cache after finding it).
Please provide evidence of your finds - by far the easiest way is to have your stats visible but it you prefer a different way then I'm happy to look at lists added to your log, on a private website or emailed to me separately.
If you want to make it marginally easier, feel free to wait until 2016 so you have an extra day to complete it.
The cache is places at the top of a path after a short but very steep hill. I placed it at the end of the second wettest year since records began and it was not too muddy but I suggest reasonable footwear. It is worth it as the views are stunning.
