The WBs: I was considering re-deployment or transferring ownership on the detectives, as circumstances are unfortunately preventing the maintenance I should be providing. Archiving is the best option, based on the tone of the DNF logs and dwindling interest in caches in the "unknown" category that are not challenge caches. Thanks for playing!

Geocache Description:

Happy New Year 2013! Cache is not at the posted coordinates, but the posted coords will point you in the right direction. The existence of this place is delightfully baffling, particularly in midwinter.

No need to mess with rocks, walls or plants. This very small micro is an experimental magnetic container, for which a logrolling TOTT is highly recommended. Initials only on the log, please.

Thomas Sullivan Magnum IV, created by Donald Bellisario and Glen Larson, lived in the Hawaiian guest house of author Robin Masters. From 1980 to 1988, as portrayed by Tom Selleck on "Magnum, P.I.", he provided a weekly excuse for millions of American women to ignore their telephones and husbands for an hour.

His friendly nemesis was Higgins, whose 2 dogs were named Zeus and Apollo. His cohorts in investigation were Rick and T.C., and his life was encumbered with fast cars, beautiful weather and gorgeous women.

The estate known as the “Robin’s Nest” is actually the real-life Anderson estate and is provided here as an additional waypoint should you wish to consider buying it. There is (or was) a geocache there.

A magnum of wine or champagne is standardized at 1.5 litres. There are other sizes of bottles for wine and spirits, many with interesting names:
A “standard” bottle is .75 litres.
A “chopine” is .25 litres.
A “Jereboam” or “double magnum” is 3 litres.
A “fifth” is one/fifth of a US gallon, or .757 litres, slightly more than a “standard.”
“Imperial” or “Methuselah”: 6 litres.
“Melchior”: 18 litres.
“Melchizedek”: 30 litres (!)
