SLO: Hrib svobode ali Brinškov hrib je vzpetina, ki se dviga nad Ilirsko Bistrico, Na njem so urejene parkovne površine s speljanimi sprehajalnimi potmi. Na vrhu hriba stoji spomenik, delo kiparja Janeza Lenassija in arhitektke Žive Baraga, ki so ga postavili v spomin borcem tretje prekomorske udarne brigade. Spomenik je visok skoraj osem metrov, pod njim pa je vkopana grobnica. Na njej je napis: "Padlim borcem IV. armade JA in borcem domačinom". Nad grobnico je iz belega betona vlita plastika v obliki kocke, preluknjane tako, da spodnji in zgornji del veže devet močnih stebrov. V bližini tega spomenika je tudi spomenik TIGR-ovcem, nekaj metrov stran pa sta razstavljena top in ameriški lahki tank M3A3 Stuart, ki sta sodelovala pri osvoboditvi Ilirske Bistrice med drugo svetovno vojno. ENG: The Hill of Liberty (also called Brinšek's Hill) is a park with three monuments. At the top of the hill there is a big monument made by sculptor Jaez Lenassi and architect Živa Baraga. The monument is nearly 8 meters big cube with holes and nine big pillars connecting the top and bottom. Under the monument there is a tomb where soldiers of the IV. army of Yugoslavian army and local soldiers are burried. Nearby there is a monument dedicated to the TIGR (Revolutionary Organisation of the Julian March Trieste - Istria - Gorizia - Rijeka) fighetrs. TIGR was a militant anti-fascist and insurgent organisation of the Slovene minority in Italy on the ex-Austro-Hungarian territories and is considered to be one of the first anti-fascist resistance movements in Europe. TIGR was active between 1927 and 1941 The third monument on the hill represents a cannon and American light tank M3A3 Stuart, which took part in the liberation of Ilirska Bistrica in the World War 2.
