Gryffindor House is known for witches and wizards possessing courage, bravery, nerve and chivalry. Founded by Godric Gryffidor, this house is not for those afraid of adventure or challenge.
Due to impediments left by Slytherin house, only a true Gryffindor will have the courage and fortitude to make the trek to this location. Anti-apparition spells require that you start at the parking area. Head uphill to the gate, go through it then go to the posted coordinates, where you must give the Fat Lady your password. If you are a true Gryffindor, your journey is done: if not, you will have even further seeking to do. It will require a trek of 2-3 miles roundtrip, made even more difficult by the thorny plants placed in your path by the Heir of Slytherin. In summer months, offspring of the basilisk may also be found on your path: BEWARE!
This is a letterbox hybrid. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!
While the house was established by Godric Gryffindor, this cache was created by a more recent member of Gryffindor house. Make note or his or her name for a future cache.
Finally, should you elect to seek the LOTR cache Cirith Ungol, it is recommended that you seek this cache after your visit to the Fat Lady but before you complete your journey to Gryffindor.
