Cache Slinger: Hey fellow geocachers, myself (Cacher Slinger), The Lakeland Geocachers Group, Cold Lake and our "Last Cache of 2012 - Bowling it out in Style Event" got a 1.5 minute mention on the World Wide Pod Cast http://www.podcacher.com/2013/01/show-402-0-behind-the-scenes-with-geotours/ this week. Visit the link for the show and check from the 34 minute and 30 second mark to shortly after the 36 minute mark to hear our featured spot.
They also posted a link to our Last Cache 2012 Event, as well as added our Group Photo from that evening to their Flicker Set.
The Show is worth a listen, and there's some really interesting stories about Geo-Tours, and GPS Controlled RC vehicles.

Well, this Event was a great success up here in the Lakelands and I'm looking forward to seeing mroe in the year to come.:)

Geocache Description:

In the Event the World Didn't End on 21/12/12 (There's another calendar that says we have 7,000 years left), Why not end 2012 in Style with some Fun Bowling.
There should be plenty of time left to welcome in the New Year when we're done. :)

Who: Cachers, and any Muggles they might like to bring along
What: Fun Bowling, (Likely with Black Light and Music so wear something bright that glows)
When: New Years Eve Dec 31 2012 (In time to start bowling for 6pm)
Where: Marina Bowling Lanes
Why: to Get that last spot on your Geocaching Calendar filled up, and because it's going to be FUN!!!
And there will be prizes!There will be costs involved per bowler, however you need not participate if you just want to Sign the Log, and stick around to see some funky bowling.

Costs:
$5.00 Adult per game
$4.00 Kids (17 and Under) per game
$2.00 Shoes

We've got the lanes booked from 6pm - 7pm, and so far only plan on one game. If you wish to play more that's fine. :)
