A nano cache next to a little brick-built construction, that was a gift from Czechoslovakia!
During the Second World War Czechoslovakian President Dr. Edvard Beneš lived in exile at the abbey at Aston Abbotts, along with his secretary, servants, neices and his dog. Other members of the Czechoslovak government-in-exile stayed in and around the villages of Wingrave and Aston Abbotts.
In September 1943 Dr. Beneš funded the construction of a brick-built bus shelter on the crossroads between the two villages as a gesture of thanks for the generosity he had experienced from the inhabitants of the two villages. The bus shelter still stands there today.
You are looking for a nano-type cache with just a logbook. There is no space for swaps or TBs, and you will need to bring your own pen.
If travelling by car DO NOT PARK ON THE A418. The safest place to park is in Wingrave village, and there is a pavement running alongside the road down the hill to the crossroads. The A418 is a busy road so take extra care if caching with children. The pavement and bus stop are wheelchair and buggy friendly, however the cache itself is not.
Congratulations to Pumpkin67 for FTF!
