This is a series of 19 caches (more maybe added later) around East Midlands Airport Nature Trail with a variety of different cache types and sizes. Some maybe within a larger carrier.
It can also be be combined with WALK ON THE WINGED SIDE a trail of 8 caches also around the Airport Trail.
To do the whole series it is best to park in the carpark outside the Aeropark - please note it's opening times (Apr-Oct 0800-2200, Nov-Mar 0900-1700 and it's free). Refreshments are available at the nearby Nags Head during opening times .Parking is possible at some of the other locations but not all, please be aware this is a high security area.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PARK OR LEAVE YOUR CAR WHERE IT WILL PRESENT A SECURITY RISK, YOU MAY BE QUESTIONED OR WORSE ARRESTED.
The Nature Trail is approximately 6 to 7 miles long, over a variety of surfaces with a short section along a busy road. Some of the sections can be quite muddy at times. There are a wide variety of things to see en-route as the trail takes in all aspects of the airport.
This series has been placed with the kind permission of East Midlands Airport Community Relations Department and Airport Security.
Security are aware of the caches so if Challenged by them please be open as to why you are there.
ALSO PLEASE REFRAIN FROM NIGHT CACHING FOR SECURITY REASONS
