Geocache Description:

This is a simple magnetic MKH micro cache near to Brewmaster's House alongside the Birmingham Canal.

The cache is part of the Geosquare series created by Superted.

The Geosquare Series:-

The Ordnance Survey (OS) National Grid provides a unique reference system, which can be seen on all Ordnance Survey maps of Great Britain. Great Britain is covered by 100 kilometre grid squares, each grid square is identified by two letters. On Ordnance Survey maps these squares are further divided into smaller 1 km squares by grid lines representing 1 kilometre spacing, each numbered from 0 to 99 from the south-west corner, in an easterly (left to right) and northerly (upwards) direction.

In the Geosquare series the cache is named after the 1 km square in which it is placed.

Others are welcome to add to the series, using the logo, sidebar and description.

Visit Superted's Profile page to see some other ideas on how I see this series expanding.

Brewmaster's House:-

The Brewmaster's House was built in 1816 and restored in 1983/84 by Remo Granelli for the Birmingham Conservation Trust. It was built as the owner's house and office of a small brewery. It has an almost symmetrical three-bay facade with hipped roof; typical Birmingham lintels on consoles; a Doric porch with open pediment and at the rear a former cart shed with cast-iron columns and slate roof with beautiful diminishing courses. It was glazed in and extended by the City Architect in 1989.
