Geocache Description:

All Saints’, Ledsham, claims to be the oldest parish church in Yorkshire still in use. The Taylors date the south and west walls of the nave as the earliest fabric and pre-dating the tower, which was raised with a further stage at a later date during the Middle Ages. Stylistically, the tower is comparable with that at Monkwearmouth. The south door of the tower is surrounded by carved foliate decoration that may originate in the 8th century but was restored by Henry Curzon during the 1871 restoration. Inside the church are some magnificent monuments, including those of Sir John (d. 1671) and Lady Sarah Lewis of Ledston Hall. Against the north chancel wall is a monument to Lady Elizabeth (Betty) Hastings (d. 1739), two years after undergoing an operation for breast cancer.

I've always had a thing for churches and surprisingly even though I live in the area I've never had a nosy at this one until placing the cache.  As I was out and about having a walk around this lovely little village, I stoped at GZ to admire the view and thought to myself, this spot would be a lovely place for people to come along, grab a cache and check out this little church, so off home I wizzed to grab a cache and back I was the same afternoon in near dark placing it.

Congratulations to Leeds Tyke on the FTF

Now that you know my life story, cache is a magentic tube, containing log and a pencil. Placed in a urban area so a little bit of stealth may be required. Please tuck the cache back in its little hidey place to avoid being spotted :)

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
