Geocache Description:

A small cache on the outskirts of Colesbourne.

Pen Hill rises to 267 feet above the village of Colesbourne on the  A435 between Cheltenham and Cirencester. It was the site of one of the Jubilee beacons in 2012. A footpath climbs the hill starting opposite the Colesbourne Inn which has plenty of parking (be careful crossing the busy road with young Geocachers). The cache itself requires a slight westward diversion from this path but is close to a stile providing an alternative route back to the village if you are short of time. But if you carry on up the hill you will be rewarded with lovely views across the Churn Valley. The path joins a quiet road which takes you on to the village of Woodmancote. Or you can circle back down the road to the village.

A small cliplock box with a few goodies to start with and a travel bug which needs moving on.
