Geocache Description:

You are looking for a magnetic nano.
(GPS was a little erratic in this area)

The origins of the movement  in Chelmsford, date back to around 1700, after the passing of the Act of Uniformity, and the 1672 Declaration of Indulgences for Dissenters Act, but the first permanent church  was not constructed until 1803. This was built in what is now Victoria Road South, cost £520, and was also called “Ebenezer”.
By 1847 the building was in need of repair, and was not really big enough for the needs of the time. A deal was made with a local businessman to purchase the ground where the Church stands today. This land cost £290 plus the old site, and more land around the Church was subsequently purchased.
The new Church – which is now a Grade II listed building - was opened on the 5th July 1848, and has since been extended and refurbished several times. It has been flooded on three occasions – in August 1888, March 1947, and September 1958.
GC41M6G (CM 3155) is nearby, but please use subway/crossing to get there.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
